With the Selwyn Stampede less than a month away, the team at Lays are lacing up and getting ready to defend their McMillan Drilling Corporate Challenge title for another year!

Selwyn based accounting firm Lays took the crown in 2023, and they’re back in the game for 2025, ready to clock up the kilometers once again. “For us, our staff’s health and wellbeing is a top priority,” shares Pauline Lay, of Lays. “The McMillan Drilling Corporate Challenge at the Selwyn Stampede is the perfect way for our team to kick off the year with some physical fitness,” she adds. “Whether it’s running or walking, the most important thing is that our team is out there, moving, and having fun while doing something positive for their health.”

In 2023, the Lays crew racked up an incredible 140km collectively! The McMillan Drilling Corporate Challenge totals each participant’s distance, whether it’s a Half Marathon run or a 5km walk, to calculate a team’s overall score (distance). It’s a fantastic way for businesses to mix a bit of healthy competition with some team-building and fitness to start the year on the right foot!
